Well, there is a pretty great cake waiting for you. It'd be a shame to just lay here and not eat it.

[follows akito's lead, taking a look around the room since it wasn't every day he came up to the kogarasumaru base. it was exactly what he'd expect.]

Do we need to get some of your things?

[ after he's up on his feet, Akito idly brushes his hands down the front of his shirt and over the thighs of his pants-- not that there's anything there to brush off, but it straightens out the wrinkles a little, at least. there's a pause, when Akira speaks-- but he just shakes his head and moves towards the door. ]

No, it's alright. I moved most of my things to your apartment when Simca came, and I didn't bring anything with me here. I don't need the rest. [ he doesn't particularly feel like going back in there at this moment, either. moving a hand out, he reaches to thread his fingers in between Akira's own. ]

What kind of cake is it?

[if anything, akira could always stop by and get the rest of akito's things later. he doesn't hesitate in holding akito's hand in return, giving his hand a light squeeze once their fingers are laced.]

It's a red velvet cake with butter cream frosting, topped off with chocolate covered strawberries.

I think you're getting almost too good at this, Akira.

[ not that Akito is complaining. no, he shifts over towards Akira, lightly bumps his hip into the other's own, then just keeps walking. ] What am I going to do, if you ever leave?

I'll leave you some cookbooks in case that ever happens so that you don't starve. [hums, lightly swinging their hands for a moment in tune with their steps.]

I hope it doesn't, though.

Akira should go home, anyway. We don't belong here.

I know, but I don't want to go home if it'll mean you have to be stuck here alone.

Kazu's been here since before I even was, Papa's here, Ikki is.

You're not on the best terms with Ikki, Agito probably wouldn't like moving in with Kaito, and Kazu-- well, I'm not sure what Kazu does.

[a shrug, on the side not holding akito's hand.] I know we don't get to choose, but I want us all to go home together.

Kazu's -- a really good friend. Ikki wouldn't abandon me off on my on even if we're not on the best of terms, so--

If something happens and you do have to leave without me, don't worry.

If I leave suddenly, take it up with the deities. This guy and I talked about it a few days ago and I reaffirmed my decision that no matter what, if given the choice, I'm not leaving by myself.

... Another option on the chance I go missing is that someone kidnapped me and they're slowly torturing me in a basement somewhere. Trust no one.

Akira's not weak enough to get kidnapped and tortured just like that.

There's no such person.

Aah, that's a relief. It's good to know if someone ever kidnaps you I'll be able to take them out easily.
